Shirva: The ideals of Swami Vivekananda will show directions to the youth and youth should draw inspiration from him said Swami

He was speaking on the occasion of UGC Sponsored National Seminar organized by St. Mary’s College Shirva and NSS of Mangalore
In his inspiring and vibrant Key note address he said, “The life and living of Swami Vivekananda has contributed to the cultural and spiritual richness of India which is still relevant”.
The Inaugural programme of the Conference was presided over by Rev. Fr. Jerald D’Souza, the Secretary of Catholic Board of Education, Mangalore. In his presidential remarks he said, ‘human life is meaningful with only when we practice values’ and congratulated the College for organizing such a meaningful conference.
Prof. Rajan V.N. Welcomed the dignitaries and Prof. Ronald J Moras proposed vote of thanks. Swami Jitakamanandaji, the President of Ramakrishna Math, Mangalore spoke on Swami Vivekananda’s vision on “Education and Human Development”.
Dr. Vishwanath K, Scientist and Dy. Director (Retd.) of National Aerospace Laboratories Bangalore spoke on Values and Triangle of success based on the teachings of Swami Vivekananda.
Dr. R. Balasubramaniam, Founder of Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement, Mysore discussed on the concept of Serving God in Man with the inspiration of Swami Vivekananda. After every session there were fruitful discussions by the participants with the resource persons.
The National Conference is attended by more than 350 teachers and students. There are 35 research and conceptual papers presented by the scholars and students.
Prajna Krishnan and Vijendra secured First and Second Prize respectively in the Students Paper presentation Competition. Prof. Vineetha K, the NSS Programme Coordinator of Mangalore University in her valedictory speech complimented the Principal Prof. Rajan V.N., the Convener Prof. Ronald Moras and Secretary Prof. Ajith D’Mello for organizing a wonderful National Conference.
